WARNED: Canada’s revolution against faith, family and freedom threatens America by Tristan Emmanuel Freedom Press, 2006 190 pp; Paperback; $19 US
reviewed by Jon Dykstra
America is a superpower; Canada, not so much so. It’s rare then for an author to write something about Canada that is of vital interest to Americans. But in Warned Tristan Emmanuel shows that gay activists are using Canada to push their agenda in America… and Americans conservatives better take note, lest they go down to defeat like their Canadian counterparts.
Emmanuel is an engaging writer, with a bit of bite to him and a wealth of facts at his fingertips. It’s an eye-opener to read his detailed analysis of the step-by-step strategy gay activists used to push gay “marriage” on Canada. He also shows how homosexuals are using their victory in Canada to push the issue in the US – American gays are heading north to get married and crossing back over the border and pushing for recognition of their “nuptials” in their home states. In a strange twist, Canada court decisions that created gay “marriage” are being cited in American courts. What has happened in Canada is truly of vital interest to conservative Americans.
A book on this sort of subject – defeat at the hands of homosexual activists – could get quite depressing. But Emmanuel doesn’t leave his readers without hope. Gay activists managed to accomplish what they did largely because of the Church’s apathy – we have not been the light that we could have and should have been. But we can change that; we can pray for God’s forgiveness and ask for his help in being more vigilant from now on. So Emmanuel’s book is not primarily a record of defeat, but rather a call to action. And the first step in getting more active might just be buying a copy of his book… and then buying another for every American you know.
